About these terms

These terms apply when you buy from, sell to, or consign with Lumière Pty Ltd, trading as Boutique d' Horlogerie (“we”, “us”). Anything we agree with you in writing for a particular watch, such as an invoice or a consignment agreement, applies alongside them and takes priority if the two differ.

Enquiries and sales

There is no online checkout. Every sale begins as an enquiry, and a sale is agreed only when we both confirm it in writing and we receive payment. A listing on this website is an invitation to enquire, not an offer.

Prices are in Australian dollars. Any other currency shown is a guide only. We may change a price or withdraw a watch at any time before a sale is agreed.

Descriptions and condition

We describe every watch honestly and to the best of our expertise, including wear, polishing and replaced parts. We are happy to send more photographs or arrange a private viewing before you commit.

Reservations

We may reserve a watch for a client for an agreed period while a viewing or payment is arranged. A reserved watch is not offered to anyone else during that period.

Payment and ownership

We accept bank transfer and other methods agreed in advance. Ownership and risk pass to you when cleared funds are received and the watch is handed over or delivered.

Selling to us

When you sell a watch to us you confirm that you own it outright and are entitled to sell it. An indicative offer is subject to inspecting the watch in person, and we may ask for proof of identity and ownership before we pay. On agreement, payment is transferred the same day.

Consignment

Consigned watches are sold on your behalf at a price you approve. Our commission is 10% of the final sale price, charged only on sale, and you are paid within three working days of the sale. The full terms are set out in a written agreement before your watch is offered.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
